Sunday. Alet les Bains.

Someone on the site recommended the Gorges de Galamus so we headed in that direction in RosieMay. We ( the vehicle ) were too wide and too high for the gorge 'road' so we parked in a nearby village and cycled through. It is the best way to see it as drivers are too busy hanging on for dear life to look out the windscreen!




But the views were spectacular.





(can anyone else see the figure with long hair watching over the traffic?)



We lunched in the gorge the cycled back to the van and headed deeper into Cathar Country. We had distant views of Chateau Peyrepertuse and Chateau de Queribus. (Thank heavens for 400mm lenses!)






and then slowly back to the site.
